Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Data Center specializing in hyper-scale data centers to act as Data Center Electrical Engineer Lead. This role is primarily remote, with potential travel for client meetings, milestones, or on-site collaboration.

Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, maintaining schematics and BOMs, ensuring NEC/IEC compliance, leading client relationships, and providing budget estimates for large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in electrical design/engineering for data centers.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) or designation (P. Eng) required.
• Experience with NEC NFPA 70 and IEC standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including power distribution and backup systems.
• Act as Engineer of Record, approving and signing off on work.
• Lead client relationships and contribute to project selling and budgets.
• Develop and maintain schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Ensure NEC/IEC compliance and collaborate on design criteria and schedules.
