Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Data Center specializing in hyper-scale facilities to lead electrical design efforts across large-scale data center projects. The role is remote with potential travel and can be based from any US office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, PE license, and extensive experience with data center infrastructure, NEC/IEC standards, and high-density deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license required.
• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in electrical design for data centers.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA70 and IEC standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including power distribution and backup systems.
• Develop schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Ensure NEC/IEC compliance and stay current with industry standards.
• Lead client relationships, provide technical input, and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Provide budget and schedule estimates to meet large, complex projects.
