Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking an experienced E&S Construction Underwriter to develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book of business. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of E&S underwriting experience, with a track record underwriting larger, complex contractor accounts and growing a meaningful book of business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Proven ownership of a sizeable book of business (ideally $3M–$5M).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documents to classify and assess risk, determine pricing and endorsements.
• Communicate with brokers to provide information within designated timeframes.
• Maintain documentation for new/renewal files and underwriting worksheets.
• Adhere to underwriting authority directives and company policies.
• Develop relationships to facilitate underwriting, promotion, and market knowledge.
• Support colleagues with underwriting procedures and tips.
