Intelligent Radiology Solutions is seeking a senior E/M coding auditor specializing in Gastroenterology and Pulmonology for a remote freelance engagement. You will go beyond chart checks, acting as a documentation-improvement partner to ensure codes reflect the actual work performed and maximize reimbursement.

The role requires leading audits or teams, direct client communication, and deep knowledge of CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS rules for GI and Pulmonary E/M.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in medical coding/auditing with GI and Pulmonology E/M expertise.
• Led coding/audit processes or quality programs and communicates with clients.
• Certified in CPC/CCS/COC; CPMA preferred; deep knowledge of E/M guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Audit coder production for accuracy, completeness, and compliance in GI and Pulmonary E/M.
• Assess coder quality against benchmarks and report trends.
• Review documentation to identify gaps and ensure guideline-supported code capture.
• Flag under- and over-coding with defensible documentation.
• Produce audit reports with root-cause analysis and recommendations.
• Deliver feedback to coders and communicate opportunities to clients.
