Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Coding Compliance Auditor for a full-time remote position. You will audit inpatient and outpatient records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding while complying with CMS, OIG, AHIMA, AAPC, and client requirements.

The role requires 4+ years of acute care coding experience and credentials such as CCS, RHIA, or RHIT. You will collaborate with coding leaders, educate staff, and drive quality and compliance across a remote team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of acute care inpatient & outpatient coding experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding systems.
• Active credentials such as CCS, RHIA, or RHIT.
• Strong understanding of Medicare reimbursement methodologies and federal coding guidelines.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent written reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive audits of inpatient and outpatient records to validate code accuracy.
• Ensure coding aligns with CMS, OIG, AHIMA, AAPC, and client regulations.
• Identify documentation and coding trends, compliance risks, and reimbursement opportunities.
• Develop clear audit reports with findings and recommendations for process improvement.
• Collaborate with coding leaders and operations to resolve discrepancies and strengthen documentation.
• Deliver education to coders and clinical staff based on audit findings.
• Monitor coding quality metrics and suggest improvement strategies.
• Stay current on coding updates and reimbursement methodologies.
