Confluent, a leading data streaming platform, is seeking a Senior Engineer for WarpStream. You will work across the stack from storage engine to developer console, focusing on scalability, transactions, and multi-region clusters.

The role is fully remote with a distributed team across multiple countries including the USA. You will design and implement high-performance backend services, participate in architectural decisions, and help maintain reliability for our customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience designing, building, scaling and supporting backend systems in production.
• Strong programming and algorithmic skills in common languages (Java/Go/Python/C/C++).
• Deep curiosity for distributed storage and systems.
• Excellent delivery focus and communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive execution of complex technical projects end to end.
• Build backend services that are high performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in microservices, containers, and virtualization.
• Ensure operational readiness and meet SLA commitments.
