Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) is seeking a Senior Director of Preconstruction to lead the internal Preconstruction and Estimation teams for megawatt-scale PV and ESS projects. This remote-eligible role requires directing cross-functional activities, coordinating with EPC, Contracts, and Engineering, and aligning with senior management to meet project goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering or construction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar development.
Proven track record managing large technical teams and multi-disciplinary EPC projects.
Strong knowledge of renewables project delivery including engineering, procurement and construction.
Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead internal Preconstruction and estimating efforts for megawatt-scale PV and ESS projects.
Build and mentor a large, diverse team across the Americas and coordinate with suppliers.
Develop risk management plans and ensure adherence to SOPs and budget constraints.
Serve as primary client liaison for preconstruction progress and critical decisions.
Foster safety culture and ensure professional, ethical leadership across the team.
Travel up to 30% as required and report to VP of Proposals.
