Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp seeks a Senior Commissioning Manager to oversee all commissioning activities at project sites, ensuring adherence to contract terms, timelines, and safety standards. This role collaborates with utilities, construction, and design teams to align deliverables and schedules, and mentors junior staff in testing, energization, and startup of PV assets.

Remote work with travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of commissioning or electrical experience in renewable energy.
Experience leading remote teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and ability to work offshore/outdoors as required.
OSHA 30 Certification and NFPA 70E Certification are preferred.
Practical knowledge of utility-scale PV systems and commissioning standards.

Responsibilities

Review contracts, subcontracts, and drawings to ensure deliverables meet commissioning requirements.
Create site-specific commissioning schedules, plans, testing documents, and start-up procedures.
Enforce safety procedures, provide daily project status reports, and coordinate with vendors and customers.
Lead junior technicians in commissioning activities including testing and energization.
Ensure timely commissioning deliverables, logs, and LOTO records.
Coordinate energization, start-up, and troubleshooting of substations and field equipment.
