Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is seeking a Senior HV/BESS Estimator for its remote-enabled role based in Houston, TX. You will drive cost estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS EPC projects, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and profitability. The position requires leading bid preparation, reviewing subcontractor bids, and optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant certificate required.
• 5+ years estimating and project management experience, preferably in utility-scale solar, HV, and BESS.
• Experience with cost estimation software and tools such as HCSS HeavyBid or similar.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills; willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee detailed cost estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS projects (HV Substations).
• Review and validate subcontractor bids and quotations.
• Develop and manage cost models and estimating assemblies; use estimating software.
• Lead bid preparation and ensure timely, competitive proposals.
