Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Risk Management & Construction Risk to lead the company’s risk program, oversee insurance and alternative risk financing, and advise executives and the Board on enterprise and project-related risks.

The role requires strategic leadership across ERM, surety, claims, and contract risk transfer, with a focus on reducing total cost of risk and strengthening risk posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
• MBA or Master's in Risk Management or related advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, project risk, construction risk, insurance, or operational risk.
• Significant experience managing large-scale insurance and risk financing programs.
• Experience with captive insurance, self-insurance, large deductible programs, or alternative risk financing structures strongly preferred.
• Proven track record partnering with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and reporting.
• Advise executive leadership and Board on enterprise, operational, financial, contractual, and emerging risks.
• Develop risk assessments, risk registers, and KRIs; establish executive dashboards.
• Oversee insurance programs including GL, workers' comp, auto, umbrella, builder's risk, cyber & professional liability.
• Evaluate alternative risk financing strategies, captives, and self-insurance options.
• Lead surety bonding strategy and manage relationships with surety partners.
• Partner with Safety, Fleet, Legal and Operations to reduce losses and improve risk controls.
