Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Sr. Director, Advanced Data Scientist to provide strategic and technical leadership in the Partnership Division's data science function.

You will define a multi-year modeling roadmap and oversee the development of advanced ML models for credit decisioning and portfolio management. You will lead end-to-end model ownership, drive cross-functional alignment with risk, compliance, and tech teams, and translate complex findings into actionable business insights for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
• PhD strongly preferred for candidates with research experience in ML, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 7+ years of experience developing statistical or ML models in financial services or consumer credit.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year modeling roadmap for credit-risk acquisition and portfolio management models.
• Lead discussions with senior stakeholders to align methodology, priorities, and risk considerations.
• Design and develop advanced ML models for credit card acquisition, underwriting, and customer risk.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to large-scale datasets.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem definition to production deployment.
• Develop monitoring frameworks for model performance and stability.
