Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to build and lead the Lab that turns frontier AI research into real-world security systems. You will guide teams of engineers and researchers to deliver AI-powered defense on endpoints and in the cloud, balancing latency, scale and reliability.

The role requires deep technical leadership, strategy setting and executive collaboration, with a focus on turning cutting-edge research into deployable security capabilities that protect customers at scale.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive industry experience in software engineering, machine learning or security engineering.
• 8+ years managing engineering or applied research teams; 4+ years leading managers across multiple teams.
• Concrete experience building AI and security systems in production, endpoint or cloud-scale.
• Executive-level communication skills to set direction and align across organizations.
• Strong command of large language models and agentic architectures; evaluation and inference optimization.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a world-class organization of engineers and researchers.
• Define multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for AI security systems.
• Deliver frontier AI on endpoint with latency/memory/power constraints.
• Deliver AI at cloud scale with streaming detection and scalable model serving.
• Drive production-ready autonomous defense with agentic systems and closed-loop feedback.
• Translate Lab results into Falcon platform capabilities with clear handoffs.
