Job summary

MedTrainer, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer, Reliability & Platform Operations to strengthen our cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD workflows, and production systems.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce production risk, improve observability, and automate reliability improvements. This senior individual contributor role emphasizes production ownership, strong SRE practices, and scalable automation, with a fully remote setup from Mexico and a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience operating production systems with reliability, observability, incident response, automation, and risk reduction.
• Azure and production Kubernetes/AKS experience.
• Design/improve CI/CD, IaC, configuration management, observability at scale.
• Production troubleshooting across cloud, Linux, containers, Kubernetes, databases, and middleware.
• Understand PHP Symfony monolith for production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability practices across production systems, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, postmortems and runbooks.
• Lead reliability improvements across cloud platforms, AKS, CI/CD pipelines, and environments.
• Operate and improve AKS clusters with upgrades, autoscaling, networking, and security.
• Provide guidance on Kubernetes deployment patterns and best practices.
• Improve delivery reliability with GitHub Actions workflows and pipeline optimization.
• Build automation and reusable infrastructure patterns to reduce toil and drift.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Own and maintain Ansible-based configuration management.
• Support Azure as primary platform, with AWS/GCP experience a plus.
• Improve observability: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerts, APM.
