Job summary

Megaport is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to champion DevOps and SRE practices across a globally distributed team. You will be deeply hands-on, ensuring secure, maintainable, and highly available systems while collaborating with stakeholders in requirements discussions and demonstrations.

Your work will evolve through peer reviews and research to keep customers at the center of our goals. You will drive reliability, automation, and incident response, contributing to a fast-changing tech

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering Linux systems in production environments.
• SRE mindset with SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, error budgets, blast radius, blameless postmortems.
• Automation focus to reduce toil and recurring problems.
• History of writing runbooks that work for the broader team.
• Strong Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Improve production reliability and system resilience within an SRE scoped team.
• Champion high standards and industry best practices.
• Communicate with teams and stakeholders at all stages.
• Bring fresh ideas and encourage others.
• Dive into complex technical problems with a can-do attitude.
• Work across technologies in a fast-changing industry.
• Participate in on-call rotation, incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Write code, handle alerts, improve solutions, and support others.
