Job summary

We Make Remote Work Remarkable is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our LATAM-based remote team. You will architect scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and lead migrations for high-traffic Java services.

You will standardize containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and implement security-as-code across deployments. Strong client-facing communication is essential in a consultancy context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Experience delivering infrastructure for multiple client engagements.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native patterns.
• Proficient in Kafka, CI/CD, and security as code basics.

Responsibilities

• Architect resilient, cloud-native infra aligned with client goals.
• Produce architecture diagrams, runbooks, and migrations.
• Lead client discussions and translate requirements into roadmaps.
• Design and manage production-grade cloud environments for Java services.
• Standardize Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability and performance tuning for Java apps.
• Integrate Security as Code into CI/CD.
• Ensure HA, failover, and DR strategies.
