Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Deltek Vantagepoint SQL Database Administrator to own and optimize the Deltek Vantagepoint environment. You will leverage MS SQL Server and T-SQL expertise to ensure availability, integrity and performance of critical financial and project management data.

The role emphasizes enterprise data stewardship, production support, and collaboration with Finance and IT. This is a remote-friendly, senior-level position within the Information Technology team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server administration and development experience.
• 3+ years supporting Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP/financial DB environments.
• Advanced T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, and security expertise.
• Strong relational database architecture and data integrity knowledge.
• Experience in production SQL data-correction and reconciliation scripts.
• Ability to troubleshoot across apps, DB, integration, and reporting layers.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior SQL DBA for Deltek Vantagepoint and act as SME.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize MS SQL Server databases supporting Vantagepoint.
• Troubleshoot complex Vantagepoint data issues by analyzing tables and transactions.
• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, views, procedures, and data validation scripts.
• Monitor performance: execution plans, indexing, blocking, CPU, memory, I/O.
• Support backup, recovery, security, permissions, and disaster Recovery.
• Investigate data integrity and reconciliation across GL, AP, AR, and projects.
• Trace transactions from Vantagepoint screens to DB records to find root causes.
• Support Vantagepoint integrations, ETL, APIs, and reporting solutions.
• Provide DB expertise for upgrades, migrations, and production deployments.
• Develop production remediation scripts with validation and rollback procedures.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Deltek Support to resolve issues.
• Establish and maintain SQL standards, monitoring, and change controls.
