Partners! Federal Credit Union is seeking a Sr. Database Administrator to oversee SQL Server (self-hosted and cloud), Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You’ll own backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, and change management with Flyway and GitHub Actions, while collaborating with BI and applications teams. The role includes designing operational standards, supporting deployments, and participating in on‑call duties as needed to ensure data

Qualifications

• Experience administering and supporting SQL Server in self-hosted/on-premises environments.
• Experience administering and supporting SQL Server Managed Instance and Azure SQL in cloud environments.
• Experience administering and supporting Azure Managed PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience supporting InfluxDB or comparable time-series database platforms.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, restore, and high availability responsibilities.
• Experience with database performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing database security, permissions, and access controls.
• Experience supporting database change management, schema updates, and release activities.
• Experience using Flyway for database version control and migrations for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience supporting deployment automation and release processes using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Jenkins in support of deployment or release activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the organization’s database platforms across SQL Server self-hosted, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and InfluxDB.
• Ensure database availability, reliability, and operational stability for production systems.
• Manage database performance and capacity to support current operations and growth.
• Own database backup, recovery, and restoration responsibilities.
• Monitor overall database health and address issues affecting uptime, performance, or security.
• Support patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Partner with BI teams to support deployments, incidents, and data needs.
• Support DevOps activities related to database deployments and environment readiness.
• Evaluate and support modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
