Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a Sr. Data Engineer to design and run scalable data pipelines across batch, streaming, and event-driven workloads. You’ll be a core Snowflake developer for performance tuning, data modeling, and storage, building semantic layers for AI-ready data.

You will mentor one data engineer, drive dbt adoption, and collaborate across teams to optimize data flow using AWS/Azure tools and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience.
• Advanced hands-on Snowflake architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud).
• Experience with semantic layers for AI and LLM applications.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; supports modeling and storage structures.
• Architects transformation pipelines for Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reusable patterns, templates, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentors one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
