Sedgwick is hiring a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-prem and cloud sources. You will serve as a core Snowflake developer supporting performance, modeling, and storage structures, and you will architect transformation pipelines feeding Snowflake and dbt AI features.

You will also design semantic layers for AI/NLP capabilities, establish reusable patterns and CI/CD practices, and mentor a data engineer while guiding cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud) using batch, streaming and event-driven patterns.
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for AI, large language models, or NLP search capabilities.

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Serves as core developer for the Snowflake data platform and supports performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality data inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs and maintains semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, reusable templates, and CI/CD best practices for decentralized teams.
• Provides direct management and mentorship to one data engineer, with potential team growth.
• Drives adoption of dbt for data transformation and evaluates AWS/Azure cloud tools to optimize data flow.
