Job summary

Genesys is seeking a senior data platform engineer to migrate complex pipelines from Snowflake to AWS and to architect scalable, auditable financial data models. You will drive data governance, observability, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Customer Success teams.

The role offers visibility into enterprise initiatives, high autonomy, and opportunities to influence architecture and engineering standards within a global AI-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 6+ years building production-grade data platforms or modern data warehouse solutions.
• Expert-level SQL, including complex query design, performance tuning, and large-scale data modeling.
• Strong Python development for data pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS services.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing frameworks.
• Data governance, observability, and monitoring best practices.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue, S3, and CloudWatch for data orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of data pipelines from Snowflake to AWS.
• Design dimensional data models for SOX-compliant reporting and analytics.
• Build Medallion Architecture data layers and high-quality datasets.
• Drive performance optimization across SQL transformations and workflows.
• Establish engineering standards for testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Implement data quality frameworks for validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring.
• Lead architecture decisions across Finance and Customer Success data ecosystems.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
