Job summary

Genesys Cloud Services, Inc. is seeking a senior data platform engineer to lead the migration of complex data pipelines from Snowflake to AWS, ensuring auditability and high performance for financial reporting.

You will shape data architecture, drive cross-functional initiatives, and own data governance and observability across Finance and Customer Success data ecosystems. Remote US in EST or CST with strong leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years building production-grade data platforms or modern data warehouses.
• Expert-level SQL with complex queries and large-scale modeling.
• Strong Python for data pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS data platforms.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated tests.
• Knowledge of data governance, observability, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Migrate data pipelines from Snowflake to AWS, improving scalability and observability.
• Design dimensional models for SOX-compliant reporting and analytics.
• Develop Medallion Architecture data layers (Silver/Gold).
• Optimize SQL transformations and data workflows for cost and speed.
• Set engineering standards for testing, deployment, and docs across data platforms.
• Implement data quality, validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring.
• Lead architecture decisions across Finance and Customer Success data ecosystems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
