McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Dam Safety Engineer to join our team on federally-regulated hydroelectric projects.

The role can be fully remote with flexible hours for the right candidate, collaborating directly with clients and regulators to deliver dam safety evaluations and reports. The candidate should have a PE license, 15+ years of engineering consulting experience including FERC Part 12D, and strong project management and client-relations skills.

Competenze

• B.S. required in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (MS preferred).
• Active PE license in good standing required.
• 15+ years of engineering consulting with FERC Part 12D and dam safety experience.
• Experience as FERC-approved Independent Consultant or CDSE, or eligible.
• PMFA/L2RA facilitator on a FERC-regulated project or eligible.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state dam safety standards and guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including proposal development.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, GeoStudio, AllPile, Rocscience, and/or HEC-RAS.

Mansioni

• Perform dam safety work including FERC Part 12D inspections.
• Lead PFMA and L2RA workshops.
• Oversee hydrological, geotechnical, and structural evaluations of dams.
• Prepare and review dam safety reports and manuals.
• Manage clients, projects, and deliverables.
• Provide dam safety training and lead EAP exercises with clients.
• Conduct meetings and present findings to clients and regulators.
• Lead or support remedial designs for embankment and concrete dams.
• Mentor junior staff on dam safety.
• Marketing and proposal writing, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Assist in selection and qualification of subcontractors for dam safety activities.
