Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Dam Safety Engineer - FERC-IC to join our team across the United States. This role can be fully remote with flexible hours for the right candidate.

You will lead dam safety evaluations for federally-regulated hydroelectric projects, collaborating with clients and regulators on complex, high-impact work. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 15+ years of consulting experience, and strong FERC Part 12D expertise.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE with strong civil/structural/geotechnical background.
• 15+ years of engineering consulting experience including FERC Part 12D.
• Experience with dam safety evaluations and related design/analysis.
• FERC-regulated project exposure and CDSE/Independent Consultant familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Perform dam safety work including FERC Part 12D inspections and related services.
• Lead PFMA/L2RA workshops and manage dam safety evaluations.
• Oversee hydrological, geotechnical, and structural analyses of dams and embankments.
• Prepare and review dam safety reports and manuals.
• Manage clients, projects, and deliverables; mentor staff.
