Job summary

A.N. Deringer, Inc is seeking a Customs Compliance Risk Assessment Specialist in the United States to lead customer onboarding risk assessments and conduct regulatory reviews.

You will identify customs and trade compliance risks, coordinate with Operations and Sales, and develop practical corrective actions to ensure compliant import practices. The role requires five years of related experience, a licensed customs broker credential, and strong analytical and communication skills to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, valuation, HTS classification, and entry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the customer onboarding risk assessment process from start to finish.
• Review customer compliance questionnaires and discuss results with stakeholders.
• Identify and assess compliance risks related to customs valuation, tariff classification, and entry requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring timely communication and issue escalation.
