Job summary

A.N. Deringer, Inc. is seeking a Customs Compliance Risk Assessment Specialist to lead onboarding risk assessments, conduct reviews, and develop corrective action plans. You will work with clients, Operations, Sales, and TCS leadership to promote compliant import practices.

Responsibilities include evaluating valuation, tariff classification, and entry requirements, documenting findings, and driving continuous improvement. Travel <10% may be required. Qualified candidates are licensed Customs Brokers with 5+ years in customs brokerage or trade compliance.

Qualifications

Licensed Customs Broker and 5+ years in customs brokerage or trade compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or international trade.
Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and HTS classification.
Experience with compliance reviews and corrective actions.
Experience with ACE reports and E2open software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the customer onboarding risk assessment process from start to finish.
Distribute, review, and evaluate customer compliance questionnaires.
Facilitate meetings with customers, Operations, and Sales teams to discuss assessment results, gather information, and address questions.
Identify and assess compliance risks related to valuation, tariff classification, Right to Make Entry, PGA requirements, duties, and related party transactions.
Document findings, communicate risks, and elevate concerns to TCS leadership as appropriate.
Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans with customers and internal stakeholders.
Track progress of corrective actions and escalate when progress stalls.
Review customs entry documentation to evaluate compliance with regulations.
