Job summary

Relativity in Phoenix, AZ seeks Senior Counsel, AI & Legal Technology to serve as senior legal advisor on AI, product development and legal technology. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will shape policy, negotiate with vendors, and ensure compliance as the company expands its AI offerings.

The role partners with Engineering, Product, Partner, Customer Success and Strategy teams to balance growth with risk.

Qualifications

JD degree from an accredited law school.
Active US bar membership.
Extensive experience advising on AI, data, privacy and technology laws.
Experience with software development and licensing issues.
Ability to translate legal risk into practical business guidance.
Strong knowledge of AI regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

Serve as the lead legal advisor for enterprise AI, product development, marketing and legal technology.
Provide strategic legal counsel to internal stakeholders on commercial, operational and strategic issues.
Negotiate terms with independent software vendors, open source providers, strategic partners, and go-to-market collaborations.
Review AI-specific terms in customer and vendor agreements and customer-facing materials.
Advise on product development, feature launches, and go-to-market strategies.
Develop internal policies and contract language to enable growth in compliance with laws.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering/Applied Science, Product, Partner, Customer Success, Strategy and Procurement.
Stay abreast of AI regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.
