Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management and release engineering for VA applications. This remote, US-based role focuses on cloud migration, CM tooling, and robust build processes.

You will train developers, enforce CM standards, collaborate with stakeholders, and guide junior analysts while ensuring compliant, repeatable deployment across projects.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading complex software builds and releases across multiple environments.
Experience in large regulated enterprises or federal environments.
Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering.
Broad knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and migrate to the cloud.
Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS.
Perform CM and release tasks ensuring builds are documented and compliant with hardware configurations.
Design and automate build procedures and implement CM standards company-wide.
Train developers in CM tools and quality practices and provide technical guidance.
Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
