Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to lead software configuration management and release engineering efforts. The role emphasizes cloud migration, tool development, and collaboration with VA stakeholders. Candidates should have extensive CM expertise and the ability to mentor junior staff.

The position is fully remote with a Public Trust (MBI) clearance requirement and U.S. citizenship. A Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years relevant experience; or 8+ years substituted for education.
• Experience leading and delivering complex builds across environments.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate to cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software products.
• Perform CM and release tasks to ensure compliant build parameters and hardware alignment.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools for software modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures to support development.
• Develop company-wide software configuration standards.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior analysts/engineers.
