Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Commissioning Project Management function and provide portfolio-level oversight for Testing & Commissioning across projects. Fully remote with location details discussed in interviews. You will own the Sr.

CPM team, coordinate with HV and BESS/PV field leaders, and ensure integrated commissioning plans and milestones. The role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive safe, on-time project

Qualifications

8+ years in EPC commissioning, project management, or delivery of utility-scale projects.
Experience leading multi-project or portfolio-level workload.
Ability to integrate commissioning activities into schedules, milestones, budgets, and cross-functional plans.
Understanding of utility-scale solar, BESS, and HV commissioning interfaces.
Ability to elevate risks, balance priorities, and drive cross-functional resolution.
Experience mentoring project-management personnel.

Responsibilities

Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
Establish team goals, priorities, and accountability aligned with company objectives.
Hire, onboard, develop, and mentor employees; support succession planning.
Foster safety, ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Standardize the Sr. CPM operating model across regions and project types.
Maintain portfolio visibility of commissioning schedules, milestones, readiness, risks, and performance.
Ensure projects have Sr. CPM ownership, integrated plans, and effective coordination cadence.
Act as primary owners for commissioning scope, communications, and turnover.
Set expectations for readiness reviews, dashboards, reporting, and documentation turnover.
Balance assignments across regions based on schedule, complexity, and priorities.
Identify and escalate issues affecting energization, milestones, and customer commitments.
Support Sr. CPMs in resolving cross-functional challenges.
