Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC seeks an experienced Certified Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and operate an enterprise hybrid cloud environment. The role focuses on AWS/Azure/GCP, security, automation, and long-term operational support.

The position is primarily remote with Wisconsin residency required. Occasional onsite attendance may be needed. Collaboration with security teams, IT professionals, and application developers is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years designing, developing, modifying, supporting cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• At least 3 years cloud experience in a regulated organization
• At least 5 years of infrastructure-as-code experience
• At least 5 years of application containerization experience
• At least 5 years of GitHub-based CI/CD experience
• At least 5 years of enterprise networking, observability, and cloud cost management
• At least 5 years of Windows/.NET environments experience
• Strong programming, scripting, configuration, and cloud troubleshooting skills
• Experience securing, automating, and supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments
• Experience transitioning new technology into long-term operational support
• Strong written, verbal, documentation, collaboration and knowledge-transfer skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, support, and maintain hybrid private and public cloud platforms.
• Review and validate vendor-proposed cloud architectures, configurations, and implementation decisions.
• Identify architecture, security, scalability, reliability, performance, operational, and cost risks.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud networking, compute, storage, databases, identity, security services, monitoring, logging, and automation.
• Support cloud services across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or comparable platforms.
• Work with .NET teams on application deployment, integration, configuration, APIs, containers, and environment management.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub-based delivery processes.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code and repeatable deployment automation.
• Incorporate security, privacy, and compliance into cloud architecture and implementation.
• Support identity/access management, encryption, network security, vulnerability management, backup, recovery, and DR.
• Align cloud services with regulatory and security frameworks (NIST, IRS 1075).
• Perform scripting, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, automation, and issue-resolution tasks.
• Develop monitoring standards, SOPs, maintenance, and incident-response processes.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, dependencies, procedures, and support requirements.
• Assume long-term responsibility for operational support, maintenance, optimization, and improvement.
• Evaluate new cloud services for security, reliability, scalability, and cost benefits.
• Transfer knowledge to internal staff through documentation and mentoring.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
