Job summary

Beacon Hill Technologies seeks an experienced Certified Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and sustain a hybrid cloud environment spanning AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The role emphasizes security, automation, and long-term operational support, with a strong collaboration across IT, security, and development teams.

The position is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in Wisconsin or relocate within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, modifying, supporting, and maintaining AWS/Azure/GCP or other major cloud platforms.
• 3+ years cloud experience in a regulated organization.
• 5+ years infrastructure-as-code experience.
• 5+ years application containerization experience.
• 5+ years GitHub-based CI/CD experience.
• 5+ years enterprise networking, observability, and cloud cost management.
• 5+ years supporting Windows and .NET environments.
• Strong programming, scripting, and cloud troubleshooting skills.
• Experience securing, automating, and supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience transitioning technology into sustainable long-term operational support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, support, and maintain hybrid private and public cloud platforms.
• Review and validate vendor cloud architectures, configurations, and implementation decisions.
• Identify architecture, security, scalability, reliability, performance, operational, and cost risks.
• Provide guidance on cloud networking, compute, storage, databases, identity, security services, monitoring, and automation.
• Support cloud services across AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with .NET teams on deployment, integration, configuration, APIs, containers, and environment management.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub-based delivery processes.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code and repeatable deployment automation.
• Incorporate security, privacy, and compliance requirements into cloud architecture and implementation.
• Support identity/access management, encryption, network security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure cloud services align with regulatory and security frameworks (NIST, IRS 1075).
• Perform scripting, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation tasks.
• Develop monitoring standards, procedures, and incident-response processes.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, dependencies, and support requirements.
• Assume long-term responsibility for operational support and optimization.
