Job summary

HistoSonics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinical Applications Specialist - Central to support onboarding and field readiness in the Midwest/Chicago region. This full-time role is remote-based with extensive travel to customer sites and training events to ensure clinical excellence.

You will mentor new hires, coordinate with the Clinical Training team, and help translate clinical data into field-ready guidance while upholding patient safety and product readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post-market clinical support in medical devices or interventional medicine.
• RDMS certification or background preferred.
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures and physician training models.
• Ability to travel (about 70%) to support field insights and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead field immersion phase of onboarding with hands-on coaching and real-world case exposure.
• Develop clinical competency and field readiness of new hires.
• Coach on clinical workflow, physician interaction, imaging optimization, and treatment planning.
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide developmental feedback.
• Maintain onboarding documentation in the LMS and track milestones.
• Identify gaps and implement individualized development plans.
• Partner with Clinical Training to support Foundations and Advanced Training.
• Ensure standardized clinical workflows and documentation across cohorts.
• Collaborate with Clinical Applications Manager to coordinate field experiences and exposure to varied clinical environments.
• Continuous improvement of onboarding curriculum and learning resources.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, training events, and internal meetings.
