Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Representative in Illinois to handle mid-to-high exposure bodily injury and property damage claims under our self-administered program.

The role involves investigating, adjusting, and directing defense counsel and vendors to ensure proper claims handling. Responsibilities include supervising vendors, monitoring legal developments, identifying exposures, and maintaining strong relationships with field teams, customers, and insurance carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Five (5) years or more experience in Casualty Claims required.
• Adjuster License(s) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims and directs outside defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors.
• Supervises outside vendors for investigations, cost containment, expert witnesses, and litigation management.
• Alerts the Claims Manager to changes in laws affecting Ryder's Liability program.
• Assists in identification of exposures and recommends solutions.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurance carriers, and third party claimants.
