Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Representative in Missouri to handle complex and mid-to-high exposure bodily injury and property damage claims under the company's self-administered liability program.

You will investigate and adjust claims and direct defense counsel, adjusters, experts, and other vendors to manage settlements and file development. The role requires strong negotiation skills, experience with casualty claims, and the ability to coordinate with field operations, legal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Five (5) years or more experience in Casualty Claims required.
• Adjuster License(s) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims and directs defense counsel, adjusters, experts, and vendors.
• Supervises outside vendors to ensure claims are handled per jurisdiction.
• Alerts Claims Manager to changes in laws impacting the liability program.
• Assists Claims Manager in identifying exposures and recommended solutions.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, carriers, and claimants.
• Interacts with Law Department on significant cases and updates field personnel on status.
• Recommends and sets reserves based on file developments.
• Completes detailed internal reports and logs.
• Routinely coordinates with primary and excess insurers and reinsurers.
