Job summary

Apex Capital Corp is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to originate and close new business, building a standalone pipeline and structuring tailored working capital solutions for middle-market clients.

Role offers strong autonomy with support from a seasoned credit and operations team. Travel is required; role is primarily remote with preference for candidates in Texas, Utah, Tennessee, or Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of originations experience, preferably in non-transportation factoring or receivables finance.
• Strong understanding of credit and debtor risk.

Responsibilities

• Originate and close new business through relationships with middle-market clients and referral partners.
• Build and manage your own pipeline from outreach through closing.
• Structure tailored working capital solutions including full-service, recourse/non-recourse.
• Own the deal lifecycle in partnership with credit, underwriting, legal, and operations.
• Assess risk and structure deals including advance rates, reserves, pricing, and covenants.
• Present opportunities internally and advocate for your deals.
• Maintain client relationships post-close and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
