Job summary

Apex Capital Corp. is seeking a senior Business Development Officer to originate, structure, and close new working capital deals for middle-market clients. You’ll own the pipeline from outreach to closing, collaborating with credit, underwriting, and operations, and expanding into new industries beyond transportation.

The role offers considerable autonomy with travel for business development and industry events, while remaining primarily remote. Candidates in TX/UT/TN/FL encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of originations experience preferably within the non-transportation factoring or receivables finance required.
• Strong understanding of credit and debtor risk
• Demonstrated pipeline development success

Responsibilities

• Originate and close new business with middle-market clients and referral partners.
• Build and manage your own pipeline from outreach through closing.
• Structure tailored working capital solutions including recourse/non-recourse options.
• Own the deal lifecycle with credit, underwriting, legal and operations.
• Assess risk, structuring deals with advance rates, reserves, pricing, and covenants.
• Present opportunities internally and advocate for your deals.
• Maintain client relationships post-close and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities

This is an opportunity for a senior originator to help shape that next chapter. We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Business Development Officer who knows how to open doors, structure smart deals, and build a pipeline from the ground up. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, backed by an experienced credit, underwriting, and operations team that knows how to get deals done. If you're motivated by ownership, market opportunity, and the ability to make a visible impact - this role is built for you. Some travel is required for business development, relationship management, and industry engagement - though the role is primarily remote. Candidates are preferably located in Texas, Utah, Tennessee, or Florida.

What You’ll Do

What Experience You Bring
