Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Senior Billing Manager to provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Billing Department across all offices. This fully remote role requires driving process improvements, leveraging technology, and guiding Managers and teams to optimize revenue cycle operations.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of management experience in billing, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of accounting principles in a service organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience in billing/financial management.
• Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of accounting principles in a service organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Elite 3E or other billing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Billing Department.
• Lead initiatives to improve billing processes and leverage technology.
• Supervise and mentor Billing Managers.
• Oversee workflow coordination to ensure timely billing.
• Partner with Partners and firm leadership to address aged WIP and unbilled inventory.
• Collaborate with Receivables to manage billing inventory.
• Serve as escalation point for complex billing inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing and distribution of proformas.
• Review reports and maintain data integrity.
