Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Senior Billing Manager to lead the Billing Department across all offices and remote locations. This role requires strategic vision, strong people leadership, and the ability to optimize technology and processes for efficient billing.

Responsibilities include auditing billing accuracy, supervising managers, coordinating workflows, managing matters with due dates, and collaborating with leadership to mitigate risks in revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience in billing/financial management.
• Proven leadership with track record of driving strategic initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles in a service organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Elite 3E or other billing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Billing Department across all offices and remote operations.
• Audit billing work for accuracy and compliance; supervise Billing Managers.
• Coordinate workflow within the billing department to ensure timely, accurate billing.
• Manage matters with upon-completion dates; monitor and update dates in billing/inventory records.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to address aged WIP and unbilled inventory; drive revenue conversion.
• Lead projects addressing complex billing issues and serve as escalation point for disputes.
• Oversee month-end closing procedures and distribution of proformas and reports.
