Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Senior Billing Manager to lead the Billing Department across all locations in a fully remote capacity. You will drive strategic initiatives, optimize billing processes, and manage a high-performing team to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and revenue recognition.

The role requires at least 7 years of management experience in billing, strong accounting knowledge, and proficiency with Elite 3E or similar software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience in a related field, with a focus on billing and financial management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in a service organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience with Elite 3E or other billing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic plans for the Billing Department to align with firm objectives.
• Drive initiatives to improve billing processes and leverage technology and AI tools.
• Supervise and mentor Billing Managers and their teams.
• Oversee billing workflows, matters with upon-completion dates, and accurate invoicing.
• Collaborate with Partners and Revenue Cycle teams to manage aged WIP and unbilled inventory.
• Address complex billing inquiries, disputes, and governance of the billing process.
• Provide reporting, templates, and data management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
