Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – BESS to provide advanced technical oversight for battery energy storage systems within our Construction Engineering team. You will coordinate EORs, vendors, and field teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution across EPC, commissioning, and warranty activities.

The role is fully remote with discussion of location in interviews; requires 3–5+ years in electrical engineering or BESS, strong coordination, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive electrical engineering with BESS experience.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, and commissioning interfaces.
• Ability to coordinate EORs, vendors, consultants, AHJs and project teams.
• Experience reviewing drawings, vendor docs, and commissioning documentation.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA 855, UL 9540 and related standards.
• Analytical skills to synthesize technical docs and propose solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical discussions.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD/Bluebeam preferred.
• PE license preferred; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• BESS engineering oversight and EOR coordination across projects.
• Review drawings, reports, vendor packages, and commissioning docs.
• Coordinate with engineers, vendors, AHJs, and owners to ensure timely deliverables.
• Support field teams with RFIs, clarifications, and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to standards development.
