HHAeXchange seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and optimize backend services for the caregiver platform. This fully remote role targets candidates in EST/CST time zones within the US, emphasizing secure, compliant healthcare software development.

You will design, develop, and scale microservices and APIs in AWS, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product and architecture teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend development.
• Experience building large-scale, high-availability backend services and distributed systems.
• 2+ years in healthcare domain with data privacy and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS), microservices, serverless, and cloud-native patterns.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Python for production-grade APIs and services.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/SQL Server and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience with frontend (Angular) is a plus.
• Containerization/orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes; CI/CD and DevOps.

• Adhere to HIPAA, OWASP, and security best practices in development.
• Monitor, optimize, and ensure reliability and operational health.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Stay current with healthcare tech trends and emerging tools.
