Job summary
HHAeXchange is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in the US time zones (EST/CST) to design, develop, and deliver advanced healthcare solutions, including transaction processing and interoperability with HL7, FHIR, and EDI.
You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and partner with product stakeholders to build scalable, secure SaaS. Candidates with 8+ years in software, healthcare domain, and cloud experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering in a product company.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance SaaS in the cloud.
- 5+ years in healthcare, with HL7/FHIR interoperability.
- Proficient in Java, C#, Python; strong SQL/NoSQL.
- Leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on development of key platform features.
- Lead end-to-end design of healthcare software systems.
- Architect healthcare transaction processing with standards (EDI/HL7/FHIR).
- Mentor engineers and align teams with strategy.
- Engage with executives as technical liaison.
- Identify risks early and drive mitigation.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to translate needs.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in healthcare tech.
