Job summary

HHAeXchange, a leading homecare technology platform, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to guide analytics, ML, and data platforms. You will mentor teams, design scalable, secure solutions, and partner with executives to align technical strategy with business goals.

The role is fully remote for candidates in EST or CST zones in the US, with a focus on building high‑performance healthcare analytics and AI-enabled workflows. Strong leadership and cloud expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software/data engineering within a software product company.
• 5+ years in healthcare analytics product development.
• 5+ years leading frontend, backend, and data platform development.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python; production-grade systems experience.
• Strong DB/warehouse skills: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, Redshift.
• Experience with React/Angular/Vue.js and modern frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of platform features as an individual contributor.
• Lead end-to-end design and development of analytics products; ensure scalability and performance.
• Architect healthcare analytics and AI applications supporting decision-making.
• Communicate priorities and enable team resources for successful delivery.
• Own quality across features with robust, scalable designs.
• Drive architectural innovation and adoption of new technologies.
• Engage stakeholders and align engineering with business strategies.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of excellence.
• Stay ahead of healthcare tech trends and innovations.
