Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role is remote but you must reside in one of the allowed states, including IN, and you will split time across cloud engineering, systems administration, and operations.

You will lead container workloads on ECS Anywhere, manage Nutanix on-prem, automate with Python/PowerShell, and own SMTP/TLS and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Python development for automation and AWS integrations.
• AWS certifications (preferred).
• Nutanix certifications (preferred).
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate secure AWS infrastructure with Well-Architected framework.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run containers on ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher native Cattle clusters.
• Linux subject matter expert: provisioning, hardening, patching, performance tuning.
• Administer Windows Server environments (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and in EC2.
• Manage on-prem Nutanix cluster health, AHV VM management, capacity planning.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure (Postfix/SES), including TLS and deliverability.
• SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux, Postfix, AWS; automate renewals.
• Monitor, logging, alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
