Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our AWS-based infrastructure for a healthcare credentialing platform. You will own cloud, container, and on-prem components, with duties across Linux, Windows Server, Nutanix, and certificate management.

This remote role requires residing in eligible US states and offers high ownership, collaborative small-team dynamics, and opportunities to influence CI/CD and security practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and admin Rancher clusters.
• Provide Linux subject matter expertise across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server environment, AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS on prem and EC2.
• Administer Nutanix AHV, Prism Element/Central, capacity planning and upgrades.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate renewals across IIS and Linux.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerts, and support HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance.
