Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Manager, AI Advisory and Open Source Program Office to join a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. The role shapes governance for Open Source software and AI across the organization, balancing innovation with compliance and risk management.

Location: Remote. You will lead cross-functional policies, controls, and operating procedures that support product development teams and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IS or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering, program management, governance, or compliance.
• 5+ years in managing technical or compliance teams.
• Deep understanding of Open Source licensing models (GPL, LGPL, Apache, MIT, BSD).
• Experience leading an OSPO or governance function.
• Knowledge of AI governance principles and regulatory considerations.
• Strong communication skills for executive-level interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Open Source Program Office (OSPO) to govern Open Source software use.
• Establish compliance processes for Open Source licenses and third-party software.
• Develop governance policies and operating procedures for Open Source.
• Oversee review and audit processes for product development teams.
• Lead the AI Governance Program to ensure responsible AI technology use.
• Create frameworks and controls for AI risk management and compliance.
• Manage a team focused on Open Source compliance and governance operations.
