Job summary

Wind River seeks a Senior Manager for AI Advisory and Open Source Governance to lead the OSPO and AI governance programs. You will shape policy, compliance, and risk management across enterprise OSS and AI usage, partnering with Legal, Security, Product, and Engineering to drive responsible innovation.

The role leads a multidisciplinary team, overseeing governance infrastructure, review processes, and developer enablement, with a focus on scalable, compliant software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related
• 10+ years in software eng., program mgmt., governance, or leadership
• 5+ years leading technical/compliance teams
• Deep understanding of OSS licensing models (GPL, LGPL, Apache, MIT, BSD)
• Experience building/leading OSPO or governance function
• Knowledge of AI governance principles and risk management
• Experience cross-functionally with Legal, Security, Product, Eng, and execs
• Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead OSPO governance for OSS use across product lines.
• Develop and enforce OSS governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee OSS review, approval, and audit processes for development teams.
• Enable employee participation in OSS communities with reviews/approvals.
• Drive OSS best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Lead AI governance program with established risk management practices.
• Provide executive reporting on governance effectiveness and compliance.
