Job summary

Mobilitas, created by CSAA Insurance Group, seeks a Senior Commercial Actuarial Reserving Manager to lead and train a team, manage projects and drive reserve reviews from a remote setting across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).

You will develop, supervise and mentor actuarial staff, build client relationships and deliver timely reserve analyses with strong leadership and communication. A deep market understanding is required.

Qualifications

• BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 6 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance.
• Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance.
• 1+ year of leadership experience
• 3+ years of Reserving experience
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)
• Strong understanding of the market landscape
• Strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training to professional staff

Responsibilities

• Leads monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews.
• Communicates reserve results and analysis to senior leaders.
• Drives innovation and process improvement across the team.
• Provides effective challenge to leadership.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external clients.
• Oversees completion of projects within required time frames.
• Manages and trains Actuarial Analysts within the department.
• Manages team time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership.
• Has proactive discussions with key business partners to meet objectives with limited resources.
• Oversees recruiting, appraisals, promotions and disciplinary procedures.
