Job summary

Mobilitas, created by CSAA Insurance Group, seeks a Senior Commercial Actuarial Reserving Manager to lead and train Actuarial Analysts, manage Consultants, and guide projects across commercial reserving.

This remote role supports clients nationwide (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). You will lead monthly booking, reserve reviews, and present results to senior leaders while developing staff and fostering collaboration.

Qualifications

BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 6+ years of post-bachelor experience
Graduate degree with 4+ years of experience in statistical/actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance
1+ year of leadership experience
3+ years of Reserving experience
ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)
Solid understanding of the market landscape
Strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training to professional staff

Responsibilities

Leads monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews
Effectively communicates reserve results and analysis to senior leaders
Drives innovation and process improvement across the team
Provides effective challenge to leadership
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external clients
Reviews work of Analysts and ensures projects meet deadlines
Manages and trains Actuarial Analysts within the department
Manages team time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership
Has proactive discussions with key business partners to achieve objectives with constrained resources
Oversees recruiting, interviewing, performance appraisals and staff development
