Job summary

Mobilitas, created by CSAA Insurance Group, is actively hiring for a Senior Commercial Actuarial Reserving Manager to lead a team of analysts and consultants in a remote US role. You will drive monthly reserve reviews, mentor staff, and partner with clients and leadership to deliver accurate reserving analyses and strategic insights.

The role requires ACAS/FCAS, 6+ years post-bachelor experience in commercial lines reserving, and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 6 years post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance.
• Graduate degree with 4 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance.
• 1+ years of leadership experience
• 3+ years of Reserving experience
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)
• FCAS
• Strong decision‑making, leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training to professional staff

Responsibilities

• Leads monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews.
• Effectively communicates reserve results and analysis to senior leaders.
• Drive innovation and process improvement efforts across the team.
• Provides effective challenge to leadership.
• Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external clients via project development.
• Reviews work of Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects on time.
• Manages and trains Actuarial Analysts within the department.
• Manages team time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership.
• Proactively discusses objectives with key business partners to achieve goals with constrained resources.
• Oversees HR functions including recruiting, performance appraisals, promotions, terminations, and coaching.
